Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions Receives Gold Certification from Cisco Systems Inc.
Cincinnati, October 15, 2004
Cincinnati Bell Inc. (NYSE: CBB), today announced that Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions, a division of Cincinnati Bell that provides technology solutions for strategic business initiatives, has achieved Gold Certification status from Cisco Systems, Inc. Gold Certification status provides strong recognition of the company’s continuous investment in Cisco Systems and leading internetworking technology for its customers.
To achieve Gold Certification, CBTS had to meet or surpass Cisco’s stringent personnel certifications, customer satisfaction, specialization and post-sales support requirements. Cisco Gold Certified Partners provide the highest level of customer support, including 24x7 technical services and a one-hour response time for problem resolution. Dedication to these and many other support requirements highlight CBTS’ commitment to supporting its strategic business network and sustainable business models.
“This is a major accomplishment because Gold Certification is the highest level of designation that Cisco awards to its partners,” said John Burns, vice president and general manager of CBTS. “Becoming a Cisco Gold Certified Partner reinforces our ability to provide the high-level expertise required to solve complex business issues.”
Gold Certified channel partners are resellers whose customers typically require the largest network installations. These channel partners provide a comprehensive service offering, including complex network design and implementation, post-sales support, lab facilities, remote diagnostics and on-site troubleshooting.
“This certification reinforces CBTS’ position as one of the premier leaders in the deployment of technology offerings and services” said Christi Cornette, director of marketing for CBTS. “Expanding our partnership with Cisco is a win-win situation for everyone, because not only will we benefit from our Gold status, but our customers will benefit from the commitment we have to expanding our knowledge and skills to better serve their needs.”
